I was recently requested to observe Jamie to support her in improving clinical documentation efficiency for care provided in wound care. She was a quick learner, and early adopter when building EPIC efficiency tools to implement and incorporate efficiency tools and processes into her documentation. Further, Jamie's ability to maintain a growth mindset, ask questions, share concerns, and accept and clarify feedback was greatly appreciated. Most striking, however, was her profound ability for expressing empathy toward patients, be a great communicator, and check for understanding while maintaining a service-orientated attitude. She's always asking members if they need anything, or how she can help members and teammates in every interaction. Her compassion as a nurse and nurse practitioner is extraordinary and observable during each visit, even with challenging patients that resist making personal health changes or accepting care recommendations to improve their wound healing and health. She is a valuable asset to KPCO and exemplifies what it means to provide high-quality, patient-centered, affordable care.
