Mr. Williams encourages and strives for his staff to become better and assists them with process improvement activities.
Mr. Williams is truly one of a kind when it comes to his style of management and should be emulated by his peers. He is a man of high integrity. He gains and maintains trust and confidence with all of whom he engages. He is honest and has strong moral principles. He treats the Vets and the staff with the utmost respect and professionalism. His daily interactions with both staff and Vets display his true care and concern for both.
Though he attends to all his scheduled administrative duties, he still makes time to speak with each staff member daily. He expresses his gratitude and recognizes their achievements. Mr. Williams encourages and strives for his staff to become better and assists them with process improvement activities. He is very informative, keeping the lines of communication open and he is always available to staff. He makes work enjoyable; he makes staff want to come to work. He does not micro-manage and he engages staff in all decision-making processes. To promote team building and camaraderie he does things such as holding corn hole tournaments during lunch breaks, and he also promotes wellness by encouraging staff to go to the gym.
Mr. Williams is instrumental in the Covid-19 testing sites, as well as the drive-through flu and COVID vaccine process. His ability to know how he wanted to run it and where to strategically place the tents, made the process smooth and kept the Veterans and the staff safe. The Veterans were very pleased with the process as it was quick and they did not have to get out of their vehicle, especially those that were handicapped. Everything Mr. Williams does is for the good of the VA. He knows all his decisions impact the organization, the Veterans, the employees, and the outcomes. He is very enthusiastic and motivates his team with his positive energy. He stands up for his ideas and opinions and respects the views of others. Mr. Williams strives for excellence and is always looking for ways to improve operations. He is a very humble, gracious, honest, and respectful nurs.
