Ms. Solter's goal is for patients to always have a positive personal experience with a healthcare professional.

Becoming a nurse has always been the light at the end of the tunnel for Eleanor Solter, BSN, RN since she was a little girl. She watched her mother, a Labor and Delivery nurse in Moldova, put her heart and soul into her work and each and every patient she took care of. Most ended up becoming her friends which was a testament to the type of person she was. Her passion drove Ms. Solter who wanted to be just like her mother even though in her eyes, those were very big shoes to fill.

Once coming to the United States, Ms. Solter attended Long Island University’s School of Nursing and graduated with a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BSN). Ms. Solter has worked at NYC H+H/Woodhull since 2007 in many sectors including the Medical Surgical units, Ambulatory Care clinic and currently works as a Collaborative Care RN supporting patients with managing their chronic disease who also have depression, anxiety or substance misuse. No matter the specific area of nursing she has worked in, she always had a passion for helping others.

Ms. Solter's goal is for patients to always have a positive personal experience with a healthcare professional. She wants to inspire others to pursue a career in nursing and help others. As a nurse, your role involves caring for patients and their families, which can be both rewarding and challenging. Caring for patients can be emotionally and physically demanding, but it is also very fulfilling to know that you are making a positive impact on someone’s life. Building relationships with patients and their families is a joy that cannot be replicated or replaced.

Sometimes, people do not have much to look forward to, but Ms. Solter does all she can to bring a smile to the face of her patients in tough times and that is always the goal. She wants her patients to know that, “Even when there are clouds in the sky, there are still people who care and will do all they can to help, and I will always be one of them."
