After a very long and scary 2 days, I delivered my daughter at 32 weeks. After delivery, I was on Mag and was unable to see my baby while she was in the NICU. It was the scariest, most uncomfortable 12 hours of my life. When I was finally able to get out of bed, I rushed over to the NICU which is where I met Penny.
She was my daughter’s nurse for the first 4 days of her life and several times after. She was the most down to earth, patient, and comforting nurse I’ve ever met. It’s hard to leave your newborn preemie baby for any amount of time, but I truly felt like Penny loved her as her own. She was always so attentive to her and took the very best care of her along with so many other babies that were fighting their own battles. She answered each and every question, listened to all of our concerns, and made us feel “normal” even when our world felt like it was everything but!
Penny is an outstanding nurse and deserved all the praise! She loves her job and it shows was and every day. Every baby and every person needs a Penny in their lives!!
