Whenever you interact with Emmaculate, her presence encourages you to do better and connect with having a strong passion for the profession of nursing. The work ethic she has detailed in nature. She has a radiant smile that is contagious and lights up a room and makes you want to do the exact same thing, either smile or laugh, even when your day has not been a good one. Emmaculate pushes and desires to do better even in times of failure. When she first arrived at the organization, one of the requirements included a math assessment. She was not successful at the first attempt, but that did not stop her. She pushed forward and inquired about resources that could make her successful at the next attempt. She did exceptionally well. I was so proud of her and the work she had put into being successful. As nurses, we need to have that kind of drive to do well no matter what we are doing. We were both happy; perhaps I was a little more than she was. Nevertheless, success shined forth and continues to be a passion for her. Emmaculate shows the ability to adapt and demonstrate confidence in learning new things. It comes through in the enthusiastic nature that she has about her job. No one has to remind her to research or read about aspects of nursing that are unfamiliar. She is comfortable and confident in asking questions for validation. She is action-oriented, takes opportunities, and is accountable for her learning. Thus far, she has easily adapted to change in our organization and the community environment, not letting it get in the way of her success. She is well on her way to becoming an expert in nursing. Emmaculate is very humble and appreciative of whatever you do for her, often saying "thank you" which is the highest quality someone can say to you out of gratitude. Emmaculate is very empathetic with the patients/families that she cares for. She understands another person's thoughts and feelings in situations that may be different from her own point of view. Many peers often say they love working with her and that she brings a positive vibe to the workplace environment. I have noticed her interactions with others, and Emmaculate truly has a big heart and does not mind assisting others or making herself available when the need arises. She takes the time to listen and offer assistance whenever she can. Her actions and willingness to serve supersede her.
