I cannot express myself enough about the care that I received from Mariah in labor and delivery. As soon as her shift started I felt as though I had a sister by my side. I’d never met this woman before but she made me feel like I had known her for years. The first thing she did that made me realize I had a good nurse was when she grabbed ahold of me while getting my epidural. She hugged me, rubbing my back the whole time and giving me positive affirmations.

Once I had my epidural I couldn’t move my legs. She came in and re-adjusted me about every 30 minutes to an hour, without me calling her or asking. She knew I wanted to have a VBAC and she kept moving me and positioning me to get the best results. She kept encouraging me, telling me we were going to have my baby before she left her shift in the morning. However, she got off at 7:15 am I had my baby at 7:32 am. The best part was she stayed over her shift to be there for me. I literally cannot say enough good things about this woman. She was kind and compassionate, she was my rock during this labor. I didn’t have a partner by my side but I had her, and I cannot thank her enough for all she did for me. She will always be part of my son’s birth story.
