My mother-in-law had to return to the hospital twice in less than a month. Catherine exhibits warmth and compassion in that she remembered how during the first stay my mother-in-law was anxious and agitated and enjoyed warm water to drink. During the second stay, Catherine remembered her and brought her warm water knowing this was her preference. With so many patients that are seen in the hospital on her floor, it was a relief to feel that my mother-in-law was not just another patient in a bed but someone who had specific likes and dislikes. When Catherine saw me in the morning, she gave me a summary of how my mother-in-law’s evening and morning went so far. Catherine exuded genuine warmth and care for her patient. We truly valued having her as our nurse.
