If it wasn’t for Keith’s willingness and expertise, that critical pediatric patient could not have gotten the timely care that she needed which eventually aided in the improvement of her prognosis and even promoted her safe discharge home.
Keith has always been our Pediatric go-to expert. He has practiced as a Bedside RN in one of the Trauma Centers in Las Vegas but found his calling as a Dialysis Nurse. He is very knowledgeable in all Dialysis Modalities naming Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, CRRT, and specializes in Pediatric care. He continuously demonstrates and practices Fresenius Mission which is to “provide superior care that improves the quality of life of every patient, every day setting the standard by which others in the healthcare industry are judged.”
Keith takes initiative and always goes above and beyond especially when it comes to our Pediatric clientele. I will never forget how Keith played a key role in the collaboration of dialyzing an ICU Pediatric patient at University Medical Center. It was already towards the end of his shift when our Scheduler asked Keith if he would be able to extend his shift and travel to UMC for this critical pediatric patient. Keith could have refused at that point, but he did not hesitate and immediately responded and even assisted the PICU RN in order to get the appropriate dialysis orders, dialysis medications, and treatment for our pediatric patient. If it wasn’t for Keith’s willingness and expertise, that critical pediatric patient could not have gotten the timely care that she needed which eventually aided in the improvement of her prognosis and even promoted her safe discharge home.
