We have a patient who encountered socioeconomic issues while admitted. Beth has continued to go above and beyond for her patients, while giving emotional support to this particular patient. She reached out continuously and helped calm the patient’s frustrations, talked with them assuredly, and supplied the patient with games, puzzles, and snacks. Beth worked with the entire staff on the unit to ensure the patient was made to feel at home and repeatedly de-escalated emotional situations while supporting and comforting the patient. Being in the hospital can be frustrating and disheartening; being here long-term without a clear resolution can be even more so. However, Beth never hesitated to step in. Our mission here at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville is to demonstrate the love of Christ by providing and coordinating care for our community. Beth is a prime example of our mission statement and demonstrates our core values: integrity, respect, compassion, excellence, collaboration, and joy. She continues to advocate for her patients daily and we are honored to have her on our team. Galatians 6:2 states, “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” We appreciate Beth and all the hard work she contributes to our team in providing excellent care for all her patients.
