Kim “Superwoman Nurse” came in last night at the start of her shift and 100% was ready to serve and be of any help right out of the gate. It happened to be at shift change when my heart rate spiked out of nowhere and a fever set in. I’m sure she had plenty to do to get briefed on her list of patients but being the amazing nurse she is, she stayed with me and helped in every possible way she could. She even assisted in transferring me to a room with a glass door knowing my bay was right outside one of the noisiest spots on the floor. She also knew I hadn't slept in over 36 hours and was in quite a bit of pain, that up until her arrival, wasn't being controlled well. Nurses like Kim make all the difference in the world. They can make or break a patient's experience. Kim is knowledgeable, compassionate, witty, funny, personable, and ready to do whatever she can to assist her patients. I will forever be grateful for her efforts and company during a difficult time. She will forever be one of my Earthly Angels. I am truly grateful.
