Nan goes above and beyond in teamwork, compassion, excellence, reverence, integrity, and quality. For the last 2 nights and previous shifts, Nan has come into the ER and worked beside me as my second nurse due to call-offs and short staff. When she arrives, she is always willing to jump in and help without complaints. She is caring to the patients, staff, and visitors. Last night, Nan showed up to work for the second night in a row and then was still dedicated to working admin after her 12-hour shift. Nan goes above for the ER staff and without her, the ER would be lost. She is an amazing co-worker and mentor.

Nannette has been working three different positions for the pay of one. She consistently puts the unit’s needs above her own. For example, coming in for a night shift during her stretch of PTO because of dangerous staffing levels. Nannette has now come in for at least 6, 12-hour night shifts, taking patients and doing total nursing care without expectation for compensation. Nan constantly has a great attitude and is truly the backbone of this unit. If there was more I could do to show my appreciation, I would in a heartbeat; this unit truly would crumble without her dedication and concern for those who work and are treated here.
