Debi supported the paediatric team through an extremely challenging situation following the death of a child, this is a devastating experience for all staff involved including EEAST and the police. Despite dealing with the staff and the parents, Debi had the foresight to obtain a memory box to ensure that the family would have something to take away when at that moment they were still in shock. Debi demonstrated not only her compassion and empathy for the teams and the parents as a nurse but also as a human being. What a credit to E&NHT and the nursing profession.
