We met Mark on Christmas morning after our 2-year-old son had a seizure. Mark was amazing from the moment we met him. He was gentle, kind, and caring. Mark answered all our questions and put us at ease during a really scary time. He made sure my son J and his sister were given a Christmas present and were able to celebrate Christmas, even just for a moment. I was so sad to leave Mark when we were admitted to the neurology floor because he made us feel so safe and cared for. I’m sure he cares for all his patients like they were his own family because that’s exactly how we felt. So much of that morning is a blur, but I will never forget Mark and the care he gave us. Mark is an amazing nurse who went above and beyond for my family in a very dark hour. He was our hero that morning and is so deserving of The DAISY Award. Thank you, Mark, for everything.
