Dr. Merrigan was recently a huge support to my sister M.T., who was a patient in the maternity ward in August of this year. My sister unfortunately lost her baby after 19 hours of him being born. Dr. Merrigan was there with my sister and my family every step of the way, from the beginning to the end. She handled my sister with so much care; my sister is a heroin addict and at no point in time did Dr. Merrigan treat my sister with anything but respect and compassion. Dr. Merrigan walked us through the entire process of the funeral home coming to pick up my nephew; again, she stayed with us every step of the way and gave us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes to the baby. Even after my sister was discharged, Dr. Merrigan stayed in touch with our family to check on us and to ask if there was anything else she could do for us. My mother and I both wrote detailed letters to the hospital in regard to our experiences with Dr. Merrigan. If I ever end up at Capital Health, I will hope that I could have Dr. Merrigan on my care team.
