Kris’s compassionate approach to listening, and anticipating M’s needs and her demeanor has made for the best nursing experience for M and me ever.
Kris was sent from heaven to look over my wife this past week. May has been hospitalized several times over the last 7 years, but we have never had such a devoted, compassionate, calming, and sincere nurse. Being M’s caregiver for the past 7 years, I am quite familiar with my wife’s needs. M’s immobility and increasing dementia have evolved into around-the-clock care at home. Maintaining continuity of care is very important. Kris sensed my frustration and calmed both me and my wife down immediately. She also mediated everything from reviewing meds M had been on to what the hospital was dispensing for me. Kris would take time and talk with us about anything we were concerned with, not rushed like she had to get to the next patient and didn’t have time for us. She was sincere and let us know when we needed to ask someone else for clarification. Kris’s compassionate approach to listening, and anticipating M’s needs and her demeanor has made for the best nursing experience for M and me ever. And that is saying a lot! Imagine my surprise to find out that Kris has only been nursing for over a year. Kris is such a natural nurturer she is destined for great things and her patients are truly blessed by her care. WOW! Way to go Kris. Closest to family ever!
