Tina was a godsend to us for the first four days of my friend's hospital stay. My friend and her husband had asked me to be her caregiver, but nothing was official yet. She set us up with a chaplain visit to initiate the medical surrogate agreement so I could help with my friend’s medical care. In addition, Tina was extremely attentive to my friend both when she was assigned to her and also to checking in whenever she was on duty. She spoke to my friend with respect and care and always let my friend know that my friend was in charge of her own healthcare. Astonishingly, no one had ever said that to my friend before. It was so humbling for me to witness Tina’s care and compassion for not only her patient but also her family members, friends, and anyone in need who crossed her path. I could fill this page with examples of how Tina went above and beyond every day of the 8 days my friend was admitted, but then you would have to struggle through my handwriting longer. I hope Tina receives the recognition her service deserves. She is such a blessing!!
