Hannah displayed the most genuine concern and gave the most excellent care I could have ever asked for.
I delivered my second child via a complicated cesarean section. I was discharged two days later and readmitted that same day for what we believed was high blood pressure. It ended up being a much bigger issue, my swollen uterus was putting pressure on my GI tract causing a plethora of issues and an abundance of pain. Hannah was my nurse twice during my 5-day stay, both during and after my diagnosis. She went above and beyond when it came to my care-which was more related to med/surg than postpartum. Hannah made sure I was always comfortable and that all my needs were met. Prior to my diagnosis, she helped advocate for me with the general surgeons about my condition and never faltered when it came to speaking up on my behalf. She really educated me on my diagnosis and made sure I knew why and what we were doing every step of the way. Hannah was incredibly kind and patient when I felt like giving up, going above and beyond to make sure I could get down to the NICU to see my little one. She was also incredibly kind and patient with my father who was with me for most of my stay. I had a multitude of great nurses during my stay but Hannah displayed the most genuine concern and gave the most excellent care I could have ever asked for. Among having an NG tube placed, I also had to have suppositories on more than one occasion as well as an enema, all things I would never have imagined needing and which are quite embarrassing, but Hannah never batted an eye or made me feel uncomfortable, she just pulled me out of the darkness the hospital walls were putting me in and I truly think she’s the reason my recovery went so quickly after my diagnosis!
