My husband came to Newton Hospital ER after he had a visit to his doctor.  The doctor told him to go right after his office visit. The doctor called ahead as we were starting to leave. After a long wait in the ER, my husband was admitted to the hospital. We were both nervous and worried about what was to be with his health problems. He was in One South. The nurse assigned to him was Tatiana. He had told me, and I myself got to meet her. She came into his room to check on him. When she walked in the first morning of his stay, she greeted him and also me. She was friendly, and kind and had compassion for a patient and family. Tatiana asked how are you feeling, she told him how she was going to help him with the duties as his nurse. She turned and spoke to me and said to feel free to ask her questions and to feel free to come to the nurse station should I want to speak to her. 
    
The level of care she showed to my husband was excellent. She has such compassion. The manner in which she speaks to the patient and to the family, you just feel the concern is truly sincere. She was a comfort to my husband and also to me. 
    
Just hearing her soothing words watching her be so caring and listening to my husband’s concerns as he spoke and interacted with her as she performed her duties with care. 
    
She put him and myself at ease. When you speak to Tatiana, you feel like you’re talking to a friend. She looks right at you and in her eyes, you know she is listening to every word. I feel she is an excellent nurse.
