Everyone who was there during my delivery was outstanding, caring, extremely supportive, and helpful, however, one nurse stood out for me, and it was Shawand. It began from the moment she introduced herself, she wrote L's name with happy graphics that made me feel like L was so special. She also took the time to teach me and my husband some tricks and tips on how to swaddle and soothe L. Sometimes being a nurse is a difficult and challenging role, but you could tell that Ms. Shawand found passion and purpose in what she does. I also really appreciated the fact that she shared her story of why she chose to become a nurse. I quote "After what I experienced with the last delivery of my youngest child, I knew I wanted to support mamas who go through delivery, especially through c-section." That story really empowered me and inspired me to know that there are still people who live life following their passion. I cannot be more grateful to have met Ms. Shawand. She made such an impact in the short time that she worked with us, and that short time made me feel cared for in the best way. I hope that Ms. Shawand receives the recognition she deserves and also the whole staff that worked with me as they are all wonderful. L says 'thank you' for bringing him into the world and caring for him in the best way. My experience has been amazing, and I could not have gone through it without you all!
