While in the Lactation Department office, Jody heard yelling and a ruckus outside on the medical unit. She went to the unit to find a violent patient assaulting staff. Jody quickly confirmed that security and a behavioral health code were called. She also initiated first aid to the team members that were wounded in the attack until they could be taken to the ER.

Without a second thought, Jody went to assist team members in need. She assessed the situation and assisted those injured. Her courage, focus on safety, and tending to those in need are at the root of who she is. Jody went ABOVE and BEYOND to assist team members whom she didn't even know on a unit she doesn't work on. She puts others first and is ALWAYS AMAZING!! SHE IS A TRUE HERO!!!
