“She is so knowledgeable and professional, and always answers all of our questions,” the mother writes in the nomination. “When we are confused or feel out of the loop about our children’s care, Andrea pulls together members of our care team so that we can all sit down and talk together. Any time of the night, I can call and she takes the time to tell me how they are doing.”

On several occasions when the mother was having a hard day in the NICU, she stayed late at night because Andrea was encouraging and supportive to talk to.

“She reminds me that I am a good mom and am doing the best I can for my children,” the nomination continues. “Her love for our children shines through in all the sweet things she does for them and in how much she values us as a family. Our only complaint is that she doesn’t work days so we can see her more! I want Andrea to be recognized for the love and care she has for her patients, and for making our NICU stay a little easier.”
