Debbie showed absolutely amazing care with a patient that delivered her baby at 34 weeks and passed in the womb. She always gives excellent compassionate care to these patients, but this time she had to fight to provide special mementos that are so important to the parents. Debbie realized there was no camera to give the parents the only pictures they would have, she searched the rest of the hospital to find one. When we were out of the keepsake booklets for the parents, she made one from whatever she could find on the unit. Debbie does whatever she can to show compassion, care, and empathy to her patients. When it is a patient that is in need, she will always find a way to make it happen. We know how much this means to her patients to provide such special mementos that will be cherished forever even if they didn’t know how much they wanted them at the time. Debbie is a great example and resource to our unit.
