I have seen first-hand how Cameron conducts himself as a nurse and charge nurse since I started on the unit back in November 2021. He was the first to truly make me feel welcome as a new staff member of TNICU. He has displayed extraordinary leadership from the point he became a charge nurse a year ago up until now.

As a nurse, Cameron role models the highest level of compassion, patience, and care with his treatment of patients and staff. He took to his role of charge very quickly as he proved to be a natural leader. Cameron displays a strong work ethic and good character as he is always making sure the nurses on his shift and the patients have what they need at any given. He takes care of his patients to a high standard with such compassion that I can see how they feel better after their interaction with him. He is a person who goes above and beyond for those around him, as well as going the extra mile. He is grace under pressure as a nurse leader as many of us feel we can rely on him as a leader. I have really admired the way he cares for patients and feel he is a true asset to the unit as both a nurse and a charge nurse. I feel Cameron is an extraordinary nurse leader and is deserving of this award as one of the most valued members of our unit.
