Nomination 1: Clarisza took excellent care of my dad while he was a patient, and she went above and beyond to make sure I was supported as well. All his nurses were amazing, but Clarisza made sure to learn my name and greet me at every opportunity. She really advocated for my dad and watched him carefully for any changes. She was the first to notice his decline which eventually led to hospice care. Clarisza happened to be off the day my dad officially started hospice, but upon her return the next day, she immediately sought an update on his condition, despite not being assigned to his unit that day. When she learned about his hospice status, she quickly came to give me a hug and offer support. As my dad continued to decline, she would check in on me during her breaks to make sure I was ok. I know how hard nurses work, so it was especially selfless for her to give up precious break time for a patient’s daughter. I felt truly supported and cared for. The level of care and support Clarisza provides her patients, and their families is unmatched. I’ll be eternally grateful for her support during this incredibly difficult time. 
Nomination 2: Clarisza has been the most compassionate and exceptional nurse that I have ever met in my life. She has exactly what it takes to be a great nurse. In this day and age, it is rare to meet people like her – she cares about her patients and goes above and beyond the norm. She also brings a calm and healing energy into the room. Thank you for caring for my dad before and after his surgery. I feel so lucky to have had you care for him and to have met you. You are the best!
