Angela is the backbone of 3W. She provides exceptional care to her patients every shift and strongly advocates meeting their needs during their stay with us.
Angela has been a nurse at Wentworth-Douglass for 20 years, working on the old Dunaway Pedi, 4G, and 3W. She has been involved in the development and opening of several units during her time here including the Garrison wing, and the expansion of inpatient beds over the years. She has also been involved in many Special Interest Groups such as the skin team, pain team, pressure ulcer prevalence studies, and many more.
Angela is the backbone of 3W. She provides exceptional care to her patients every shift and strongly advocates meeting their needs during their stay with us. What’s even more amazing than her patient care is the support she offers those around her. She checks in on her staff regularly to ensure they are supported as nurses and also checks in with them on a personal level. She is always willing to support both new and experienced nurses in the care of patients. She precepts new staff and finds opportunities to enable the growth of novice nurses.
For example, she frequently gives up the resource phone to mentor staff in this role. She is always available to pick up a shift for an unexpected call out or so that staff can have well-deserved earned time. Angela recently stepped into the Clinical Coach role and is supporting the growth of novice nurses throughout all the inpatient units.
