This professor goes above and beyond to ensure we as students not only understand the concepts but excel. She encourages us and takes time to stop in when we are on campus to make sure we know she is there and here for us. She not only exemplifies what it means to be a nurse but also an educator. She is more than deserving of this award and recognition.

Elizabeth was an adjunct clinical faculty and then took a position as course lead in the 3rd semester of the ABSN program. This semester is especially intense with the rigor of the adult nursing courses. Elizabeth readily displayed her expertise in the area of adult nursing care. She is supportive and encouraging with the students in her courses. She is also supportive of the adjunct faculty working with her during the semester. Elizabeth consistently works with all students, giving a variety of resources to assist students in their learning. Even though Elizabeth is empathetic, she displays fairness in her interactions with students and colleagues. She recognizes the importance of fairness with compassion. Elizabeth works collaboratively with her peers. She adapted to the role of course lead and takes opportunities to further her own learning. She is an excellent mentor for her peers. As a graduate of Xavier University, Elizabeth knows and demonstrates the mission. She is proud of her alumni status (in another discipline).
