Exemplary services or a creative and pioneering spirit in the areas of public health or nursing education. The Medal is the highest international distinction a nurse can receive. Garrett, you deserve this Medal because you already earned it and have it from my soul view, you are much appreciated, and an absolute sweetheart. Thank you for taking care of me and being kind and nurturing; you are amazing. I came into the emergency room at my absolute lowest, thinking the worst was going to happen to me, and you made a difference in my care. You explained things so I understood them, and you took time with me even though the emergency room was very chaotic. It was those little things that you did that made all the difference in my care and outcome. I am so grateful to you and UPMC Mercy. I hope one day I can help you out.
