Her proactive approach not only helped support our daughter through a few rocky months but also helps many other families just like ours.
Michelle is one of the most thorough, sincere, knowledgeable, and caring nurse practitioners I've ever met. You can tell that she genuinely cares about the well-being of her patients from the way she interacts with you and your family during in-person visits as well as post-visit follow-ups.
This past summer, our daughter began experiencing stomachaches and headaches. As parents, we assumed it was something she was eating or the need to update her glasses Rx. To help us rule things out, Michelle guided us through the food sensitivity testing process. After learning there were no food concerns, we were stumped. The tummy aches continued, soon followed by tears and unhealthy worry. We soon connected the symptoms to a larger concern: anxiety. Despite our best efforts to handle things on our own, as parents we felt ill-equipped. We reached out to Michelle and shared our concerns, and she was amazing. She provided us with guidance, perspective, age-based tools, and resources and connected us with one of the behavioral health providers. Her proactive approach not only helped support our daughter through a few rocky months but also helps many other families just like ours. Starting middle school and working through the many unknowns associated with moving to a different school that now includes high schoolers can be overwhelming and stir up emotions differently for each child. Having a nurse practitioner like Michelle caring for our communities is a gift. Her professional yet relatable approach and above-and-beyond dedication make her deserving of this honor.
