How does a nurse from Internal Medicine nominate another nurse from Radiology? Well, that is where Clara’s helpful and nurturing nature comes in. I am a new nurse at UCM experiencing the typical angst of finding myself in a new place. Clara has been an amazing colleague, sharing resources, knowledge, and support. She supports not only her provider but is often asked to support other departments including mine. There is no question that Clara doesn’t have the answer to and no problem too big that Clara can’t troubleshoot. She has made me feel welcome and supported by creating a safe environment for me to learn and ask questions to avoid mistakes. She does this every day with a smile, a warm heart, and a positive attitude. I can honestly say that if she is the norm here then, UCM is an excellent place to work. I know that Clara goes above and beyond for our patients because that is what she is doing for me.
