kindness, generosity, and love are fruits that she effortlessly shares with those around her.
I often find myself studying people and their behavior. I look at their reactions, what they say and do, and how they go about their business. Many have come and gone during our pregnancy here at Baylor University Medical Center. All have shared a common theme of kindness and generosity and I am forever grateful for that. And then, there was Rebekah Reimer. She has an excellent spirit; kindness, generosity, and love are fruits that she effortlessly shares with those around her. She listens to you intently and engages in conversation in a rich manner. You feel heard, seen, known, and loved. Her laugh and smile burst forth like a bright light in a world that is constantly enveloped in darkness. Her keen eye for the smallest of details such as fixing a certain IV position, looking for the smallest spots of liquid to clean, and bringing broth at the perfect temperature revealed how intentional she chooses to be. Every time she was our nurse, our hearts overflowed with cheer and love. She was the one we wanted and needed. Needless to say, my words fall short compared to what Christ Jesus has to say about Rebekah. Holy words from the book of Proverbs are tested and true. "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. Strength and honour are her clothing, and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest the all".
