Emma has always been amazing throughout nursing school, is always willing to help out her classmates, and does an amazing job as the Student Nurse's Association (SNA) president. She always puts others before herself and makes an effort to ensure everyone is included. I also have the pleasure of working on the same unit as her at KUMC, and the way she handles herself with patients solidifies how amazing she will be as a nurse. Her preceptor from capstone on the Burn ICU unit had nothing but kind words to say about her and even wants her to work on that unit. Emma approaches each patient with no judgment or kindness and goes above and beyond to ensure the best care for her patients. I cannot wait to watch her grow as an RN and continually grow. I could not think of any other student that deserves this award.
