Vanessa went above and beyond helping me care for my patient on Christmas Eve when we were short staff. My patient was in critical condition, and I needed all hands on deck. Vanessa not only helped me run my CRRT and the Impella. She took on two patients that evening as their nurse. She also was there helping me during the 2 codes my patient also had that evening. Vanessa remained calm in the most stressful situations and represented a leader in all aspects. To take on your own patient load, remain in charge, and assist my 1-1 patient who in reality was essentially a 3 to 1 patient. I am extremely grateful for the help Vanessa provided to me that night and assisted me in providing the best care this patient deserved.
