The Director of Nursing at our hospital received 4 phones call within a month from patients and their families wanting to state how much Stephanie made an impact on them while caring for them or their family members. The DON nominate Stephanie for the DAISY award due to the compassionate care she provides and her commitment to not just caring for the patient but for their family as well. The DON had never received that many phone calls in a month's time for one nurse and felt Stephanie was very worthy of the nomination as she knows what an amazing nurse and person Stephanie is every day.

Remarks that were made about Stepanie include: Stephanie cared for our loved one on Med Surg and she was very caring and compassionate and always made them feel important. They also said her care for their loved one was outstanding.

Patient called and stated Stephanie was her nurse for surgery and she was very attentive, caring, informative, and compassionate and put her nerves at ease before the surgery.

Patient called and stated Stephanie was in the clinic caring for her and she was very impressed with her professionalism, and compassion and she made the patient feel important and heard.

Last call was from a patient who stated Stephanie took care of her on Med Surg and she appreciated Stephanie's kindness and compassion.
