I wanted to acknowledge a nurse on 4NW, William Romero. He was trying to facilitate a discharge for his patient that needed an UBER to a hotel. There was a delay with the ordering of the hospital's UBER ride and William noticed that his patient was getting very restless. William used his own UBER account to get the patient where he needed to go in a timely manner. He should be recognized for going above and beyond what was expected of him and for his generosity. Will often goes above and beyond.

When there is a new nurse on the unit, Will will find that nurse when any learning opportunities arise on the unit. He is caring and compassionate. He is calm and caring under the most stressful of situations. He is always polite and ensures he welcomes all graciously. Will is very respectful to all he encounters and to family members. He embraces his peers. He genuinely enjoys the people he works with. He is a big part of the reason for the success of the PM shift on 4NW. Will is well-liked and respected by his patients, their family, his peers, and our physicians. He is truly a devoted Professional Nurse. He is a gift to the profession of nursing and to RMC.
