Jenn never judged her, understood her needs, often before family or she herself knew them.

My 48-year-old daughter was admitted to the hospital in November 2022. While she was there, she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, with metastases to the brain and bone. She was also a former substance abuser, more recently being in remission. Jenn was frequently my daughter's nurse, and treated her with kindness and empathy, despite my daughter's sometimes harsh treatment of others. Jenn never judged her, understood her needs, often before family or she herself knew them.

Jenn went above and beyond to provide support to our family, especially me, her mother. She made an effort to connect with the patient, as well as the family members, proving comfort to the family knowing that my daughter was being cared for during her almost 3-week-stay. She guided me through the processes, and provided emotional support to all of us, as we all knew that my daughter was going to die of this terrible disease.

After my daughter's release, Jenn often followed up to see how she was doing, and upon her admission prior to her death, was there, ready to care for my daughter and help guide our family during her final days. Jenn's commitment to her patients and their families is rare and truly a blessing. I do not know how we would have navigated this difficult time without her by our side. It is truly amazing that one can care so much for strangers, and be so committed to her work.
