I have been struggling for the majority of this year with tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and triggering. I was referred to UK Orthopedics in Kentucky Clinic, where I have seen Brooke at every appointment. She is intelligent, empathetic, thoughtful, helpful, funny, and kind. Today, I felt frustrated because although I have been compliant with occupational therapy and wearing splints, I cannot seem to break the cycle of pain. I finally decided to do steroid injections for the first time, which made me feel nervous. I have a vagal response. So, Brooke laid the table down for me and even left the room to find a pillow for my head! She talked to me before the procedure, letting me know what to expect. And she talked to me during the procedure as well, which eased my anxiety in both situations. I also casually asked if the doctor could recommend a good podiatrist. Brooke said that she only does hands. But, not only did Brooke know of an excellent podiatrist; she had a handout with all of their information on it that she gave me! Brooke always has a smile, always double checks on me, she is full of information, she is laid back but thorough, she is very empathetic and kind, and is ready to give a hug.
