My wife just spent 3 nights at the Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital. The doctors who performed the surgery were outstanding and communicated with myself and my wife often about what they had done and what to expect in the coming weeks.

We were extremely lucky to have Mark as our daytime nurse each day. He made an impact on my wife and made our stay in the hospital much easier.  Mark was so quick to answer when we had questions or concerns. We never had to hunt him down or question if he was going to help, we knew he would. It was easy for me to see that he genuinely cared about the well-being of my wife, and all his patients for that matter.  I personally enjoyed getting to know Mark as a person.  He was extremely professional in how he handled himself but was always willing to share a story and listen to my wife and me talk about our kids and families.  After 3 days of close interaction, I feel like I know Mark the person just as well as Mark the nurse.  Mark embodies everything that a nurse should be; thus, I am nominating him for the DAISY Award.
