Life is full of fun and adventures, good times, and bad times. I choose to focus on the good times but my story starts with a bad time. Our son, R, started off with an infection near the top of his baclofen pump site. His father and I kept watch over it for a couple of weeks applying topical cream and Tylenol for the discomfort. Another sore near the infected side popped up over the weekend but I didn’t want to break in a coveted weekend for our dedicated and devoted Pentec nurse, Cherie, so I patiently waited for Monday morning to contact her even though many many times she has always mentioned: “call her anytime”. And I knew she meant it and was so sincere.

Cherie called the neurosurgeon’s office to update the nurse, along with the picture of the site of the infection I provided. With full appointments for the day, R was fit in on the schedule, and surgery was elected for the following day with much success. We are all so proud of Cherie who “opened the doors” for this observation and procedure, which ended up also being so timely for an Alaskan cruise our family took four days later that had been planned for over two years and an overall great adventure! Cherie is our “hero”, our “friend” our “family”. She is consistent and a comforter. Even though R is nonverbal, wheelchair-bound, and in total care, Cherie is so personable and remarkably in touch with R, what a gift for all of us!

Finally, Cherie is totally professional on her visits with us. Our family couldn’t ask for anything better or greater as her service is impeccable. Thank you Pentec! With gratefulness and gratitude.
