Spc. Haynes put in the PERFECT IV line (I hate them and have had SO many bad ones) and was sweet enough to walk arm and arm with me to the bathroom after giving me an EPI pen, to make sure I wouldn’t fall over.
It was the first time in my life I had to take myself to the ER; I was having an allergic reaction to shellfish, which I have never had before. I was terrified, alone, and had no clue what to do. Cpt. Mara Zedick was the first to see me and was so kind, and patient, and explained everything. She could see I was panicking a little and made sure I felt comfortable. Spc. Haynes was the next to help me, she had to perform a few tests quickly that required no clothing above the belt and made sure I was extremely comfortable. I instantly felt like I was in a room with some of my closest girlfriends who were taking care of me.

She walked me through the whole EPI pen, chatted like we were friends, and made me feel so at ease during an extremely stressful situation. She even offered to help with my dogs in the event I couldn’t find someone to let them out.
Zedick and Haynes continually checked on me through the process, treated me like a close friend, and we’re constantly reassuring me that I would be okay. Talk about a dream team situation! It was the best hospital visit I have ever had, to the point where if I needed to stay overnight, I knew I was in good hands and was not worried. These women deserve an award for their extremely hard work ethic, caring demeanor, and constant attention to their patients ensuring they are happy, comfortable, and taken care of. I would take them home if I could! (I also would love to give a giant shoutout to the gentleman working the check-in desk. I Thank You for acting so swiftly, making sure I was comfortable, and being so kind during something so scary. When you have to face someone first in the event of an emergency, I was so happy it was him.)
