I was so afraid of needles and Millie helped me to get through it all.
I was a patient on the PCU floor. My body was a roller coaster with blood pressure going up and down. Heart rate racing up then dropping low. My sugar doing up and down as well as my oxygen levels dropping. My nurse Mille came into my room and I was so emotionally drained. I was so afraid of needles and Millie helped me to get through it all. We started talking and she comforted me in everything they did. She got the best people to draw my blood and start my IV. She went beyond her job as a nurse. She was my teacher because she educated me about my health. She was my doctor, at times, because she educated me about my condition. She was so amazing with me. She taught me a lot about my health.

We talked like we were friends and I knew her for years. She took really good care of me making sure I had everything I needed. She was not only a nurse but she became somebody special to me. She was like a big sister who I could talk to about everything and she understood. Millie goes way past her duties as a nurse because she showed me so much compassion. I could see it in her eyes and the way she cares about her patients. She made sure I was comfortable in every way possible. She made my fears of being in the hospital disappear because I was so afraid of needles. She just kept telling me that I would be ok and she did everything she could to make sure of that. She always made time to stop in my room to make sure I was ok. Offering me kind words. I will never forget the treatment I received from Millie because it was everything to me. Thank you Millie for all you did for Me!
