My wife was in the unit for three weeks. Tim was her primary nurse for the entire time. From Day 1 to the last time he took care of her, his knowledge of his job was outstanding. He was curious and caring every single day. If we needed her to do something different or new, Tim was the person we called on. Tim made sure that every step of her care was carried out. He was very helpful to me, teaching me how to feed and give her meds through the GI tube. It was kind of funny, but another nurse fed her on their shift, but it just wasn’t like Tim’s. When she had her trach in, he taught me how to use the Yankauer to suction her out if needed, this came in handy at home, since we had a suction machine at home. The things he taught me about how to take care of her at home were invaluable. It was a smooth transition and still is today. They are very lucky to have Tim on their staff!
