Mrs. Klein is without a doubt an extraordinary nurse and healthcare professional. From the minute she began treating me as my day nurse, I knew she was unique compared to others. She stood out like a single DAISY in a field of wildflowers. I am 56 years old and have never been admitted overnight to a hospital. I stayed for five days. She made my experience from admission to discharge a memorable one. She cared, treated me with compassion, and respected me as a patient. She was so genuine! She took the time to educate me regarding my disease and treatment.

Her personality and bedside manner were exceptional. You can have all the education in the world and be great at what you do but if you do not have the personality to go with it, you will just be average. A great personality like Kiersten's cannot be taught. It is really hard to find that type of individual today especially when we have so much going on with our personal lives in a chaotic world. She demonstrated consistency of care and showed me she had the utmost integrity.

On the morning of my discharge, the Nurse Manager visited with me. She was wonderful in wanting to know about my care and how her Team performed including sharing information regarding the DAISY Award. I chuckled and laughed when she gave me The DAISY Award brochure. The day before, I asked Kiersten if the parking garage was safe. I told her I drove my Harley Davidson here and parked it in the garage and I was concerned. So that day, she went to the garage, on her lunch break and checked on it. 

I am grateful for the excellent care of everyone at Tampa General Hospital. I was thoroughly impressed with everything and everyone. Thank you! I am extremely grateful for how Kiersten Klein personally went above and beyond to show compassionate and superb care for all my needs during my stay.
