I have decided to be a living kidney donor for someone that lives in my area. I had no idea what I would need to do to see if I were a match or healthy enough to donate a kidney. I received a call immediately from Jessica to discuss the Living Donor Program at TGH. She was one of the sweetest, most caring human beings I have ever met!

After hearing from many people that I was crazy to do this, Jessica was the first person to make me feel good about what I had decided to do. Jessica continued to follow up with me every step of the way and always reminded me that I was doing something GREAT! I have met with Jessica multiple times as well as the many telephone calls she returned, and each encounter was outstanding. Jessica was completely honest with me and did not sugarcoat anything. She always communicated with a true sense of caring and appreciation. I consider Jessica to not only be my advocate through the process, but a true friend.

Tamp General is a great hospital because of people like Jessica. I explained my anxiety disorder to Jessica and instead of making me feel like an idiot, she let everyone know on the team and told me that she understood and that she would make sure that it was addressed on the day of surgery. My surgery is in 4 days and because of Jessica, I am truly excited to be a living kidney donor. Jessica is an outstanding Nurse and a true asset to TGH and the transplant team. She is truly an amazing human being and should be recognized for her professionalism, warmth, and caring nature. I would give her an award myself if I could. I hope that you recognize Jessica for the person that she is. They do not make them any better than Jessica!
