Ashley recently took care of an ED patient whom we kept in ED for a couple of days due to social issues & because his belongings had been accidentally displaced. He had no wallet, no car keys, no house key & lost a couple of things really important to him. She spent her day making sure he had everything he needed to keep him comfortable and happy while also helping to coordinate getting him safely home & planning for outpatient care beyond discharge.

This patient needed a locksmith to get in his home and she helped coordinate his d/c with the timing of the locksmith. The biggest thing was security went and bought him a phone and she spent a lot of time registering his phone, setting up his email account, and making sure he could use his new phone before he went home. She went the extra mile and with a great compassionate attitude.
