Lisa has been widely known for decades as the go-to for compassionate, excellent, and above-and-beyond care and resources.
I have had the privilege of observing and being a recipient of the excellent standard of care and abundant compassion of our clinic RN, Lisa Denny.
I have seen her tireless dedication to the health and welfare of our patients, without judgement, continually advocating for and personally investing in them to ensure the continuum of care. I’ve heard her conversations as she listens to heartbreaking stories of loss and barriers and watched her gift of empathy as she responds with hope and finds ways to overcome any barriers to their being able to find healing physically.
Lisa advocates for wellness for our associates as well, continually encouraging them in their roles and professional development, as well as making sure they feel included and engaged in our organization.
She works with providers, social workers, hospital, and clinic staff, and bridges any communication gaps between those entities to make certain that everyone has the most recent and applicable information with which to help serve our patients. She will also assist in coordinating care with other healthcare organizations to make sure the services our patients need are available and attainable.
Lisa’s extensive dedication to excellence and her passion to serve our community embodies the mission and vision of Adventist Health. I believe that she consistently sets a high standard for nurses and employees in her many years of service. While I have known her personally for a little over a year, her reputation preceded my personal knowledge. Lisa has been widely known for decades as the go-to for compassionate, excellent, and above-and-beyond care and resources.
On a personal note, I recently spent some time as a patient, and while Lisa was not my nurse, she was so generous with her resources and knowledge, and time, and continually checked in on me to make sure I was healing. She helped me understand the language of the hospital and proved that her gift of being a nurse far exceeds her shifts in the clinic. I am a better human having known her!
I am so appreciative of her as a person, as a nurse, and as a hero whose impact will echo in our organization, community, and lives forever.
