Erin constantly goes above and beyond what is required. She has been amazing with a difficult patient. I have never seen her get overwhelmed or frustrated while caring for this patient. Always patient and kind. She takes the patient for walks outside and is one of the only nurses I have seen do this. The patient enjoys getting out and I see a sparkle in their eyes when they come back to their room. It takes effort and compassion to care enough to take a trached patient outside on oxygen in a wheelchair.
