Sara encompasses the values “to listen and serve, to guide and heal” with grace every shift she works. She is empathetic to every patient she meets, always willing to teach new colleagues, shows up with a helping hand when you least expect it, and makes every person feel like a valuable member of the team. She’s part of the department’s ROE committee, recently took on a role as supporting charge nurse, and goes home to 3 children (soon to be 4!) and a husband with confidence and compassion that I wish to mimic. As an RN who is newer to the department, she is someone I truly look forward to working with every shift we work together. No matter what challenges arise in a shift, I know that when she is working, I will be able to get through them with no judgment and a knowledge of the best practice way to care for our patients. Sara deserves all of the recognition for her years of contribution to the CentraCare team!
