I had an ectopic pregnancy. I've been dealing with knowing my pregnancy wasn't viable for a few weeks and on Friday it was decided I needed a methotrexate injection to avoid further complications of an ectopic pregnancy. I was walked from the OB clinic over to the infusion center to get set up for the injections. My husband and I put on a brave face but many tears have been shed over the last few weeks. Everyone at the infusion clinic was so nice and attentive. Kelsey continuously checked in and made sure we understood the process. When Kelsey came in for the injection she brought me 3 flowers and as she turned around to prepare the injections, it took everything in me not to cry. I have no idea if there's a fund for this sort of thing or if she bought them herself, but it made such an impact. When you are dealing with pregnancy loss it can feel very empty but she showed kindness and compassion and this helped me leave the clinic feeling slightly less empty. We only interacted with Kelsey for a short period of time but her impact was large.
