Lori was the nurse involved in the care of a patient experiencing a miscarriage in November. I was working as the charge nurse when the patient called the ED wanting to talk to someone about her excellent care. The patient was tearful and expressed to me that Lori was extremely caring and thoughtful. She states that she was alone and "Lori made me feel like family, she held my hand and we cried together. I just could not thank her enough for being with me during this difficult time". Lori is a newer ER nurse and I expressed to her that she is truly a wonderful person and nurse, she is a great representation of what I feel St. Luke's values. We could all learn a little something from the caring passion that Lori brings to our department.
