She was present in every moment with me and gave so much of herself. Her personality and spirit shined through, it was evident this is her passion.
I am a 43-year-old first-time mom. I had been trying to get pregnant for 7 years. When I arrived to Labor and Delivery I didn't really know what to expect and I was scared out of my mind. That's when this angel by the name of Natalie DeLorenzo walked into the triage room with a light that brightened the entire room. I'm not exaggerating, it was like she was the sun.

Natalie introduced herself. She was intentional in her actions and words. She took her time familiarizing herself with my husband and doula. During my labor, she was such a powerful source of comfort and calm.

I was not a candidate for an epidural which meant I went through my labor and delivery with no medications. I was begging for all types of meds, this was not my finest hour as you might imagine. I was in so much pain but Natalie and my doula were like Batman and Robin; they were my Dynamic Duo. Natalie massaged my pressure points and gave me words of affirmation when I felt like I could not go on.

I honestly don't know how my experience would have been without her. Natalie’s care and compassion far exceeded my understanding of bedside manners. She was present in every moment with me and gave so much of herself. Her personality and spirit shined through, it was evident this is her passion. This is not just a job to her. She deserves to be acknowledged and recognized. I cannot stress enough that she truly made my experience pleasant and I thank her so much for that. If I could reserve a nurse for future deliveries, I would choose her a million times over!
